17 European public postal operators call for resumption of talks on VAT on postal services

Brussels, 09/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - The definitive liberalisation of the postal sector, which is almost upon us (see EUROPE 9568), is causing related matters to be re-opened. 17 members of PostEurop, an organisation of over 40 European public postal operators, have called for Council talks to remove their exemption from value added tax (VAT) to be resumed.
