21/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 20 December, the Council approved without debate an amendment to the Customs Convention on the international transport of goods under cover of TIR carnets (TIR Convention 1975). Submitted in January by the Convention's management committee, the amendment is purely technical. It will provide greater transparency at the Convention's secretariat and control agencies. (A.BY.)
