Brussels, 29/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - The presidents of the Pyrenees-Mediterranean Euroregion will meet on 3 December in Toulouse as part of the Euroregion Research, Innovation and Enterprise Congress. Two main features will mark this event which the European Commissioner for regional policy, Danuta Hübner will attend: 1) the hand-over of the presidency of the Euroregion from the Midi-Pyrénées region to the government of the Balearic islands; the presentation of the European grouping of territorial cooperation (GECT) providing the Euroregion with a common structure and legal personality.
The congress will bring together 400 actors from the Balearic islands, Catalonia, Langudoc-Rousillon and the Midi-Pyrénées for workshop reflections on the biotechnology, information and communication, transport, agronomy, urban planning, oceanography and academic sectors.
