Democratic Party (member of the EPP-ED) wins first European elections

Brussels, 26/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Democratic Party (PD), currently in opposition, has won the first European elections in Romania, which were held on 25 November, according to the still unofficial results published in the morning of 26 November. The turnout rate was just 28.38%. According to the figures, the PD, which is close to President Traian Basescu, won a total of 29.23% of the votes, ahead of the Social Democrats in power (PSD) with 21.65% and the National Liberal Party (PNL)...
