Three options on table for VAT package - No agreement in November, but deal may be possible in December

Brussels, 06/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - At the ECOFIN Council on Monday 13 November, EU finance ministers will again be discussing the new package of legislation to simplify VAT rules - value added tax (see Europe 9439). Two areas are preventing unanimous adoption of the package - amending the place of taxation for various services supplied to people not registered for VAT (B2C), where Luxembourg expressed disagreement at the June ECOFIN Council; and strengthening administrative cooperation...
