Brussels, 05/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has released emergency humanitarian aid to the tune of €1.5 million for the people of the Dominican Republic, who have suffered from the consecutive floods resulting from the tropical storm, Noel.
Funds will come from the ECHO budget (the Commission's humanitarian aid service) and will help improve the health situation for around 56,000 people living in temporary shelters. It will also go towards the distribution of food,...
