29/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 24 October, Pierre Simon of France was re-elected president of Eurochambres. Starting his second term in office, Mr Simon pleaded in favour of the development of entrepreneurial spirit, with an effective implementation of the Lisbon strategy, and a simplification of the regulatory environment for businesses. He has been President of the European Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry since 1 January 2006. (A.B.)
