08/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - The EU representative at the international Troika on Kosovo, Wolfgang Ischinger, is not ruling out the possibility of an international conference on Kosovo being organised. On Sunday 7 October, Mr Ischinger stated in an interview with the Serbian daily, Vecernje Novosti: “We (the Troika) are not excluding the possibility of holding a conference with the different parties in negotiations…but this will only make sense if we obtain sufficient material by the end of November with which we can negotiate”. This conference, similar to the one for Bosnia-Herzegovina in Dayton (USA), is expected to take place in Europe as “Kosovo is a European problem”, explained Ischinger. (hb)
