Environment Committee wants all civil aviation flights included in carbon trading system in 2010 along with upper emissions limits

Brussels, 03/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Environment Committee is calling for civil aviation to be rapidly incorporated in the EU greenhouse gas emissions trading scheme (ETS) and for tight upper limits to be imposed on CO2 emissions from civil aviation, an industry which is churning out increased quantities of emissions but has so far escaped having to tackle climate change.
