01/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - In a statement published on Wednesday 26 September, the EU congratulates Bruce Golding on his appointment to the post of Jamaican prime minister after the recent democratic legislative elections. The EU states its willingness to “work closely with the new Jamaican government in its efforts to achieve social and economic progress for the good of its citizens and the country as a whole”. (ab)
