01/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - Before handing over command of Operation Althea, General John Reith gave a general account of the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina to defence ministers meeting in Evora, on Friday 28 September. He pointed out that the planned redeployment has now been carried out and that the period of reversibility is now over. EUFOR is currently 2,500 strong. Revision is planned in one year's time.
