Brussels, 25/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 24 September, the European Parliament committees on foreign affairs and development jointly selected the three finalists for the 2007 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. The finalists are: - Salih Mahmoud Osman, a Sudanese human rights attorney working with the Sudan Organisation Against Torture; - Anna Politkovskaya, the Russian journalist and human rights activist assassinated in October 2006 in mysterious circumstances; - and Zeng Jinyan,...
