Details on 3rd internal energy market legislative package to be presented by the Commission on 19 September

Brussels, 06/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - As we previously announced, the Commission will, on 19 September, present its draft 3rd legislative package to improve the working of the internal gas and electricity market, and open it up further to competition. According to provisional documents obtained by EUROPE, the Commission will present five draft texts to try to correct the weaknesses in the energy market revealed by its sectoral investigation in January 2007 (see EUROPE 9341):
