06/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs is confident of the outcome of the conflict between Kazakhstan and six foreign oil companies (including ENI of Italy) over the Kasaghan oil field in the Caspian Sea. Astana has, for environmental reasons, suspended all oil extraction in the field for three months.
