The Norwegian groups, TGS-NOPEC GEOPHYSICAL and WAVEFIELD INSEIS, both specialised in seismic studies, are to merge as part of a friendly deal that will give rise to the fourth largest actor in the sector worldwide. The transaction is evaluated at DK6.8 billion.
