EU answers Greece's plea for help in fighting forest fires - Two French fire-fighting aircraft on their way

Brussels, 20/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - The EU's Civil Protection Mechanism's Monitoring and Information Centre (MIC) has responded to the request from the Greek government for help in tackling the forest fires currently raging in the country. In the evening of 18 July, Greece requested aid in the form of aircraft.
