EP says labour law should guarantee lifelong employment for workers - Towards an active employment Policy

Strasbourg, 12/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - In an own initiative report by Jacek Protasiewicz (EPP-ED, Poland) on updating labour law, adopted by a huge majority by the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday, the EP says that labour law should guarantee lifelong employment for workers rather than protecting particular jobs. MEPs call for an active employment policy to help people find work more easily and move more easily from one job to another; a 'sufficiently flexible' working week...
