Portugal confirms timetable announced and expresses confidence despite demands from Warsaw

Lisbon, 02/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Portuguese EU Presidency will be forwarding the draft text of the future treaty to EU27 foreign ministers when they meet in Brussels on 23 July to launch the Intergovernmental Conference. The Portuguese foreign minister confirmed to reporters that the text will serve as a technical and legal basis for discussions to be held later during the Gymnich meeting on 7 and 8 September, with a view to approving the treaty during the European Council of 18 and...
