Brussels, 28/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - Forwarding its national energy efficiency action plan to the Commission on Wednesday, Finland became the first member state to submit its programme for achieving the target of 9% energy savings by 2016 as set out in the energy end-use efficiency and energy services Directive 2006/32/EEC. The other 26 member states have until 30 June to submit their national energy plans. (eh)
