06/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 6 June, the European Commission decided not to close bluefin tuna fishing in the Mediterranean and the Eastern Atlantic on 10 June, due to the commitment by the member states of the EU to implement ICCAT (International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas) decisions on safeguard plans for this species (EUROPE 9439), as of 13 June. The provisional quotas for 2007 have almost been filled, but the definitive total allowable catch (TAC)...
