06/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - Meeting in Luxemburg on Tuesday 5 June, European Finance Ministers adopted conclusions on the transfer prices for cross-border transactions which apply to companies within the same group. They acknowledged that the work carried out by the specific EU forum represented “important progress” and welcomed the two-year extension to this forum's mandate. They noted, too, that member states had undertaken to follow the guidelines adopted by the Commission in February (See EUROPE 9374). These guidelines relate to previous agreements on prices which member states are invited to settle among themselves in order to avoid any problems of double taxation. (mb)
