ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) music

British music industry giant EMI has approved the bid from capital investment fund Terra Firma, recommending that its shareholders accept the offer of £2.65 per share in cash, totalling £2.4 bn (€3.5 bn). Including treasury and debt, Terra Firma says the deal values the company at £3.2 bn. There are media reports that US fund Corvus Capital and Warner Music may make a counter-offer.
