14/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - In conclusions adopted on Monday 14 May, the Council welcomed the outcome of the South East European Cooperation Process Summit meeting in Zagreb on 10-11 May, notably the development of the Stability Pact into the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC). It called on participating countries (principally Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and the FYR Macedonia) to continue their commitment to regional cooperation, which is a pre-requisite for the realisation of any European perspective within the framework of the Stabilisation and Association Process. Ministers welcomed the appointment of Croatian Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Hidajet Bišèeviæ to the post of Secretary General of the RCC, which will open in Sarajevo in February 2008. (ab)
