Court of first instance throws out Spanish appeal against Commission's fishing fleet regulation

Luxembourg, 07/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - In a ruling made on 3 May, the Court of First Instance rejected the appeal made by Spain against EC Regulation No. 1438/2003 establishing modalities on the application of Community fisheries policy from Council fisheries Regulation No. 2371/2002. The decision confirms the validity of this regulation. Madrid is therefore obliged to carry out transposition of the regulation in question.
