02/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission granted clearance on Monday 2 April to the acquisition of sole control of Egg Banking plc (Egg) of the UK by Citibank Overseas Investment Corporation (COIC), a subsidiary of Citigroup Inc. of the US. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
