29/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 28 March, the European Commission approved the proposed takeover of Saint-Gobain Desjoncquerès (including Saint-Gobain Desjoncquères S.A. (France), SG la Granja (Spain) and the Brazilian business wing of de SG Vidros (Brazil)) by Sagard II A FCPR and Sagard II B FCPR, capital investment companies managed by Sagard SAS (Sagard, France) and the FCPR Cognetas II A and FCPR Cognetas II B capital investment companies managed by Cognetas SA (Cognetas, France), via a share purchase in the newly created joint enterprise. This transaction was assessed according to simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
