29/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the Council adopted a decision setting up the joint European venture for ITER. This joint enterprise, created for a period of 35 years, will be set up in Barcelona and is expected to manage the EU's contribution, through Euratom, to the development of the international experimental fusion reactor. The European financial participation in this project stands at €9.623bn. (oj)
