23/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - A mistake appeared in EUROPE 9392 on 23 March in the article on the Foreign Trade Association's (FTA: representatives of European retailers and importers) support for reforming the Community trade defence mechanism. It should have read that FTA Secretary General, Jan Eggert, denounced the criticism of Trade Commissioner, Peter Mandelson, by the manufacturing industry in Europe. Mr Eggert accuses the industry of seeking to “muddy the issue”. (eh)
