Concerned by climate of impunity in Cambodia, MEPs want inquiries to be made into murder of trade unionists

Brussels, 16/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - With the unanimous adoption on Thursday by the 59 voters in Parliament of a resolution on Cambodia, the Parliament condemns the murder, on 24 February 2007, of Mr Hy Vuthy, President of the Free Trade Union of Workers of the Kingdom of Cambodia (FTUWKC) at the Suntex textile factory, and all the other cases of violence committed against trade unions in recent years. MEPs call on authorities to launch an «urgent, impartial and effective investigation»...
