Member states failing to properly check food products

Brussels, 16/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission's veterinary department recently put several member states in the hot seat, after revealing some serious shortcomings last year in official controls of food products. The issue will be discussed by the EU27's farm ministers on Monday 19 March at a meeting to be attended by EU Commissioner Markos Kyprianou.
