France reluctant to aim for conclusion in 2007

Brussels, 20/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Competitiveness Council, meeting in Brussels on Monday called for the successful conclusion of the Doha Round. Industry ministers had intended to set 2007 as the deadline for the conclusion of the negotiations, but France did not back this proposal, deeming it, according to a Community source, a waste of time to set a timescale that would not be respected.
