Brussels, 15/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Commissioner in charge of Economic and Monetary Affairs, Joaquin Almunia, on Monday congratulated Slovenia on joining the eurozone on 1 January, recommending that the authorities limit inflation, protect competitiveness and ensure the sustainability of their public finances in order to take full advantage of membership of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU).
