Commission approves proposed acquisition of Münchsmünster Cracker and associated assets by Basell

Brussels, 22/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 22 December, the Commission authorised the proposed acquisition of Münchsmünster Cracker and its associated assets, a plant in Germany, by Basell, a German company belonging to the American Access Industries group. Basell and Münchsmünster Cracker are active it the ethylene market. The Commission's examination of the proposed deal has revealed that the horizontal and vertical overlaps between the activities of Basell and Münchsmünster Cracker...
