Court of First Instance confirms, in essence, commission decision penalising agreement in beef sector, but reduces fines

Luxemburg, 18/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 13 December the Court of First Instance delivered a judgment endorsing the Commission's Decision 2003/600/EC of 2 April 2003. This decision sanctioned a number of French federations which represent farmers and slaughterers for having participated in an illegal arrangement in 2001 and 2002.
