Slovenia receives reasoned opinion for insufficient implementation of directive on energy performance of buildings

Strasbourg, 12/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Commission sent a reasoned opinion to Slovenia for failing to notify sufficient national implementing measures under Directive 2002/91/EC on energy performance of buildings in response to the letter of formal notice sent to it in February this year. The aim of Directive 2002/91/EC, that the EU25 are supposed to have fully implemented since 4 January 2006, is to reduce energy consumption in buildings by obliging Member States to lay...
