Luxemburg, 08/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 5 December, the European Court of Justice ruled that the Italian system of setting lawyers' minimum and maximum fees is effectively a restriction to free service provision. However, with certain conditions, it considers that this restriction can be justified in the interest of “protection of consumers” and “the proper administration of justice”.
