Luxemburg, 23/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank, in cooperation with the Romanian Ministry of the Environment and Water and the Association of Romanian Water Utilities (ARA), held a conference on financing for the water sector, addressing public and private stakeholders from Romania and beyond, in Bucharest on 23 November. The conference, at the Grand Hotel Marriott, brought together representatives from the government, local authorities, scientists, experts, managers and stakeholders from the water sector. The aim of the seminar was to present the most recent developments in the water and sanitation sector in Romania, comparing them with trends and developments in other European countries which demonstrate and promote good practice.
