Court finds Spain guilty of failing to transpose EU Gas Directive

Brussels, 17/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Court of Justice found Spain guilty of failing to transpose Directive 2003/55/EC on the liberalisation of the gas market (transposition deadline 1 July 2004). Spain may also be found guilty of failing to transpose Directive 2003/54/EC on opening the electricity market to competition. (eh)
