Car industry pledges to boost road safety - First European Road Safety Day on 27 April 2007

Brussels, 06/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - At an AGM in Verona, Italy, on 3 and 4 November, the car industry pledged to improve the safety of road vehicles. The meeting set a date for the first European Road Safety Day, namely 27 April 2007. Finnish transport minister Susanna Huovinen and Italian transport minister Alessandro Bianchi gave awards to three projects to improve road safety for children.
