Brussels, 31/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 31 October, the European Commission decided to release €2.5 million in emergency humanitarian aid for the 2.5 million people affected by the severe drought in Afghanistan. The funds will be channelled through the European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO).
