Fishermen fear toughening of rules on European Fisheries Fund

Brussels, 31/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Association of EU National Fisheries Enterprises' Organisations (Europêche) and the fisheries section of the General Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives in the European Union (COGECA) have criticised the European Commission for wanting to change the agreement reached in June by the Council on the European Fisheries Fund (EFF) on support for the fishing fleet (modernisation to improve safety and hygiene on board ships) and fish farming firms...
