ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) media

Spanish publishing company PRISA (Spanish daily newspaper El País) has issued a bid to buy up Portuguese media company MEDIA CAPITAL (EUR 10.9 mil net profits in first three quarters of 2006). PRISA currently holds a 33% stake in MEDIA CAPITAL. The bid is worth EUR 7.40 per share, valuing the company at EUR 625 mil.
