Commission aid for economic development of Turkish Cypriot community - Olli Rehn expects Turkey to keep its commitments

Brussels, 27/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the Commission adopted a financing decision for a total of €38.1 million to promote the economic development of the Turkish Cypriot community. This first financial assistance is part of the overall €259 million allocated in the context of the mechanism approved by the Council in February (EUROPE 9140).
