ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banking

The Belgo-Dutch banking-insurance group FORTIS will be creating, together with the Irish post office, AN POST, a joint-venture specialised in financial services in Ireland. Its capital will rise to €112 million. FORTIS and AN POST will each inject €56 million in the capital of the retail bank, which will be aimed at individual customers.
