Brussels, 06/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Friday the European Commission launched a new guide for helping EU regions improve their strategies and policies in innovation, economic growth and job creation. The document “Innovative Strategies and Actions: Results from 15 Years of Regional Experimentation” contains examples of good practices from a wide range of experiences gained by the regions in innovation over the last fifteen years. The advice and examples should help regions in Member States outline and implement new regional policy programmes for 2007-13. In the preface Commissioner Danuta Hübner explains that “”As regions and Member States draw up their National Strategic Reference Frameworks and Operational Programmes for the 2007-13 programming period and as they start to implement these programmes in 2007, I hope the practical guideline contained in this document and the good practices described will be of use”.
