ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

The Italian PIRELLI group has finalised the purchase of 9.54% held by the banks UNICREDIT and BANCA INTESA in OLIMPIA, the holding controlling 18% of TELECOM ITALIA, for nearly €1.2 bn. PIRELLI now has a 80% stake in OLIMPIA, the BENETTON family controls the remaining 20%.
