06/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday Switzerland said that it would be aligning its new European rules on plane cabin luggage. Taken in the wake of the thwarted terrorist attacks attempted in London last August, these new measures, adopted on 5 October in Brussels (EUROPE 9280) aim to strengthen airline security. The restrictions introduced focus on liquids, and will enter into force simultaneously in Switzerland and the European Union. (oj)
