25/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - President Barroso has sent a congratulatory telegramme to the European Ryder Cup Team for its “remarkable victory” in Ireland on Sunday. He said how proud he was of the victory in the image of the European team that won the tournament against the USA for the third time running. “Europe showed once again on this occasion that it could build upon real values, like sport and team spirit”, the Commission states in a press release.
