EU air safety regulatory committee to meet on 27 September

Brussels, 22/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - The EU aviation safety regulatory committee will meet again on 27 September to look at the new air safety measures unveiled by EU Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot. After the foiled terrorist plot in the UK on 9 August, Barrot presented the foundations of new legislation to the College of Commissioners on 13 September to restrict the quantity of liquid air passengers can carry and to improve hand baggage inspection in airports (see EUROPE No. 9264)....
