Parliament calls on companies to meet their social and financial responsibilities at times of restructuring

Brussels, 10/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - Parliament has adopted a resolution on company restructuring in Europe and called on the Commission to adopt a more decisive strategy on the impact of industrial restructuring and its social impact (see EUROPE 9226, for the debate with Commissioner Verheugen).
